I just received a common UK lottery email scam and introduced himself as Mark Harris, Chief Executive of www.natlotcomm.gov.uk. The difference of this particular email is it has very detailed explanation of why there are unclaimed lottery winning prizes, it also uses links to known and authentic website such as BBC news and lotterypost.com. The email started like the following:

I have a very urgent proposal for you which will be of our mutual benefit. I wish to seek your acceptance and cooperation so that the total sum of £8,497,985(Eight Million Four Hundred And Ninety Seven Thousand, Nine Hundred And Eighty Five Great Britain pounds sterling) can be paid to you by my company for our mutual benefit. The said amount is an unclaimed lottery prize fund from the National Lottery; the prize result was released over four months ago and since then, the winner of the prize has failed to come with the winning lottery ticket to claim his or her winning
prize......
