Getting a job is difficult. Keeping one is more challenging. Some of us are just holding on to our own job for the mere desire to survive in this world. Some of the lucky ones are not working, but merely fulfilling their own dream and getting paid for it. During my childhood times, I also had a dream of lending my services to other people in the field of health-care. Up to now, it remains to be a dream for I am one of the people on this earth who are merely rambling for dear life just to survive. Hopefully one day, I will wake up and find myself fulfilling my dream.
A friend is getting married and I can’t help but feel nostalgic. After all, it was just a year ago that I had to undergo the same felling of anxiety myself, over my own wedding preparations. Yes, I have survived the first year of marriage! It was wonderful. Everyday is an opportunity for one to discover oneself and his/her partner. It’s like hopping into a roller coaster with your best friend and enjoying each others company, while life gets around you with its usual slices of pain and joy.
Who doesn’t want to have their own haven of comfort? Their own secluded space away from the hustle and bustle? Where they can do their own thing without leaving the comforts of your own home. With the eagerness to have a piece of this promise of tranquility and peace at home, we have decided to transform the existing bathroom into a masterpiece that we can call our own. Armed with credit cards and ideas, me and hubby went hardware hopping. Scrutinizing and painstakingly analyzing each and every floor and wall tiles that comes our way. Until one day, we came across a stone tile from a very big store away from the city proper. The moment I saw them, I felt a leap inside and got quite excited. Not a moment to loose, I bought a dozen for our floor. Plus, I came across again another floor tile that resembles a beach sand! Of course, there was a moment of confusion, but I found a way to merge the stone tile and the sand tile. I am very sure that this is what I want. That place was so full of construction materials that have not failed to fancy my imagination. Sure enough, there has been several trips to that store for some of our construction materials.
The only special thing today for me is not the voting power in today's election but being away from work and had a good holiday. I voted GIBO for president and Mar Roxas for vice president. I hope my choices will win. Noynoy maintains his lead in surveys, he is very popular because of his parents Cory and Ninoy Aquino. When talking of accomplishments or laws passed, there are nothing from Noynoy. Anyways, still the vote of people will determine who will be the next President in a few days...
I think there are leaked cable connections here in our area. I can watch now in my TV the five cable TV channels. CNN, AXN, HBO, Discovery and Disney can be viewed in my TV, the reception is not that clear but it's very viewable. I can enjoy watching these channels without paying a subscription fee. I hope the provider will not do maintenance routine ha!ha!
